When you get a visitor to your website and they leave, You have a pretty fair chance they will not be back, particularly if you don’t give them a compelling reason to do so. Surfing is so random, most of us don’t remember what page we were on 10 minutes ago.

If your visitors sign up for your free product, you can then follow up with them via email to attempt to sell them something better than the ebook you gave away.
You should do all you can to convert as many visitors into subscribers as possible. Not only can you send them updates to draw them back to your site, but you now have a targeted audience to present any and all of your new products to. The simple opt-in form can supply you with leads for months and years to come.
