Gathering high quality links is not simply a case of going to a few blogs and forums and putting up some links, you must find pages with a high Google Page-Rank, and these are not easy to find, let alone get links from. Also, there is a bit of a catch 22 with this because when a high PR page puts up lots of links, its PR tends to drop, and so webmasters must find the right balance between high PR and number of other links on the page.
