Pay per click advertising is offering an exciting new trend in Internet marketing. The search engines have at last found a way to make money with online marketing. What do we mean by this?

Traditional methods of advertising were somewhat different. An ad would be paid for according to its duration not exposure. You would simply pay for your ad to be run for a certain length of time, regardless of how much exposure it got.

This could be in several medias; radio, TV, newspaper or online on a web page. The price would be for running the ad for a limited time, and would make it available for all to see. Finally somebody saw the light and figured out that there should be a better way to market online. Of course not all marketing methods gave the same amount of exposure to an ad. For example a busy website would give a lot of exposure to an ad, so why not have a system in place where both advertiser and host could make money?

All over the Internet, marketers are singing the praises of Adwords. They hold out assurances that they can help budding entrepreneurs to make 100’s of dollars working only 3-4 hours a day. Truly the lazy man’s way of making money! But hold on did we mention lazy? Perhaps there is some truth in this. The actual fact is that Adwords has great tutorials making it easy to use. If the real truth were known, all those “would be entrepreneurs” who paid their hard earned money to the “experts,” could have got all this information for free from these tutorials on the site.

The big secret with AdWords is that once you know what you are doing.. you’ll be making so much money it’s crazy and if you don’t know or are on the verge it’s a long road ahead, or you’ll end up losing money for sure. If you know AdWords like a master you’ll find yourself making thousands and never have to worry about money ever again.

Most people online do not know how to “create traffic themselves”.. they rely on partners, Joint Ventures and things like that. While this is fine “in theory” they do not know the real business of internet marketing… Which is essentially advertising + selling + backend. Google Adwords is a popular internet marketing program that helps an Internet Marketer to succeed within a reasonable span of time. This article shares a few strategies to succeed while using Google Adwords.

Google Adwords is the most popular pay-per-click program for advertising on the internet. Unlike regular search engine listings, which are free listings according to “relevance”, as defined by the particular search engine involved, Adwords are small text ads which usually appear to the right of the unpaid listings. Google has also introduced graphics ads in the AdWords placement. Advertisers bid on specific “keywords”, which determines where the ad is displayed. However, unlike other search engines, where placement is completely determined by the amount of the bid, Google uses a complex algoritm which also takes into the account the popularity of the ad. Thus, an ad which gets clicked on a lot of time can end up in a better position than one with a higher bid. That’s how Google rewards the ad for relevancy, so it pays to create an ad that will invite clicks.
