Convert Visitors to Cash!

by Jason Willamson

When you get a visitor to your website and they leave, You have a pretty fair chance they will not be back, particularly if you don’t give them a compelling reason to do so. Surfing is so random, most of us don’t remember what page we were on 10 minutes ago.

The point is to find a way to grab these visitors so we can give them a reason to return. If thousands of visitors hit your site, read a little, and move on to the next page, you don’t make a dime of profit. What if you could convert some of those visitors to paying customers?

Many people will tell you that having unique content can keep visitors coming back. This is true to a point, but very often, unique content is not the answer. The real, long-term solution lies in converting your visitors into subscribers of your mailing list.

More than likely, this is because when someone does a search, views an organic, and paid listing at the same time, this reinforces the sites credibility.

Our Virtual Town

by Sam B. Goldberg

Meeting and greeting friends and neighbors used to happen on the street corner of your town. Now, more and more frequently, it happens with an instant message, e-mail or in an online social network. We’ve traded the actual physical or spoken interaction with a whole new form of interaction that’s more convenient and more efficient.

What started as simple text-based chat rooms has evolved to amazingly complex and massive virtual communities. Social networking on the internet is where the action is in terms of investment, technology and marketing – and Facebook right now is the major player, the beneficiary of a two hundred and forty million dollar investment by that giant among giants, Microsoft, in an aggressive bid to be a dominant part of the cutting edge of online trends.
